Rachel Dellar
Hi i'm Rachel Dellar, owner and manager of
Hydropaws. Destined to work with animals from
an early age, I studied within the field of equine and
animal sciences with a passion for relating anatomy
and physiology to performance and rehabilitation.
After a few years as a university lecturer my passion for
rehabilitation developed further whilst training racehorses and I studied
massage, myofascial release and hydrotherapy for horses.
In 2002, I moved out to New Zealand and my love of dogs took over! After studying Canine Myofunctional Therapy and Hydrotherapy I opened Hydropaws in 2007 and in 2018 qualified as an Advanced Hydrotherapist and launched NZACH - New Zealand Association of Canine Hydrotherapists.
Most of my spare time is spent enjoying the journey of training, working and judging spaniels (for more information on the Wyebrook Springers, click here).
Hydropaws offers a holistic approach to canine care integrating land and water based rehabilitation therapies to promote good health and mobility, performance and recovery from injury and surgery allowing dogs to live life to the full. Please do get in touch to see how we can help your dog.
Rachel
