Rachel Dellar
Hydropaws Owner and Clinical Lead
BSc (Hons), MNZACH, Adv Canine Hydrotherapist, Dip Canine Osteo
Spaniel enthusiast Rachel has helped thousands of Waikato pet owners improve the mobility of their cats and dogs since emigrating to NZ and establishing Hydropaws in 2006.
With a history in Equine hydrotherapy and rehabilitation, inspired by her own Labrador, Cally, who had an early diagnosis of osteoarthritis with a poor prognosis for an active life, Rachel imported the first canine underwater treadmill into NZ. Cally blossomed and enjoyed a fun filled 15 years on the farm.

Dedicated to continued professional development, Rachel was a key founding member for The New Zealand Association of Canine Hydrotherapists in 2018 (www.nzach.co.nz).Rachel holds qualifications in massage, osteopathy, hydrotherapy and laser therapy and after a thorough assessment of each pet, utilises appropriate therapies to create tailored rehabilitation programs to manage the best way forward to improve mobility and quality of life for your pet.
